Pathfinder 2010

Helping to educate safe, thoughtful and enjoyable driving.

Pathfinder is a practical and theoretical introduction to driving for under age drivers (age 15-16) delivered through an intensive Autumn School program.

What’s being said about us?

"I had the pleasure this weekend of attending the Under 17 Car Club's Pathfinder Project.  This uniquely provides a theoretical and practical introduction to driving for pre-licence and novice drivers.  Using a structured methodology, the programme develops safe attitudes and behaviours while introducing the technical skills of driving.  I was extremely impressed by the event and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to be driven safely around the course by some young drivers who only a week before had never been behind the wheel.  The benefits of Pathfinder are obvious not just in terms of road safety but also in boosting the confidence of the young people - and their parents, some of whom believed that they would never be able to drive. I was delighted to learn that the project is being pioneered right here in Warwickshire and am proud that we are leading the country in supporting our future drivers."

New Course being Scheduled for 2010!

Following on from the success of the 2008 course, Pathfinder delivered another successful and enjoyable experience for young drivers during October 2009. All who attended, including the associates took away with them valuable information allowing them to improve their safety and awareness through thoughtful driver training along with an enhanced ability to enjoy their driving on today’s congested roads.

Pathfinder continues to utilise the methodology developed by the ‘Under 17 Car club’ over many years to deliver a valuable understanding of how to drive safely, thoughtfully and within the law. With proven statistics to back up the methods used, The Under 17 Car Club has significantly reduced the risks for its young drivers over many years. The Pathfinder students benefit from this experience unlike any other young driver course available for 15 to 16 year olds anywhere else in the UK today.

If you are or have children that will be aged 15 or 16 as of 1st November 2010 then you may be eligible for the Pathfinder course in 2010 and should request information by sending an e-mail to enquires@under17driver.co.uk If you have children who are younger and over the age of 12, then you may be interested in a longer term scheme for young drivers offered by the Under 17 Car Club.
