Pathfinder is a practical and theoretical introduction to driving for under age drivers (age 15-16) delivered through an intensive Autumn School programme.

In 2008 a pilot scheme was sponsored by Warwickshire County Council Road Safety Unit, The AA Driving School, Jaguar Land Rover, U17 Drivers Pathfinder Ltd and The Under 17 Car Club. The aim was to show that a sustained reduction in young driver casualties can be achieved through properly structured pre-17 driver education and to provide the blueprint for a National Scheme.
 

Pathfinder has been built on the methodology developed during 30 years experience through the Under 17 Car Club, an organisation that has been at the forefront of young driver education for decades.

The Under 17 Car Club educates young people along with their parents / guardians or associates to become thoughtful safe drivers. Statistics have conclusively proven that the Under 17 Car Clubs approach to driver training significantly reduces the likelihood of the young driver  becoming one of the many negative statistics in road safety.
