At Pathfinder you will be introduced to the essential driving skills and knowledge needed to enjoy a safe and long driving career.

You will learn to control and manoeuvre a car. You’ll drive your own family car accompanied by someone you know with the support and guidance of a dedicated team of qualified Driving Instructors. Driving takes place in a safe, controlled, but realistic environment, well away from the public highway. At Pathfinder you also get an introduction to advanced driving theory and basic vehicle maintenance, and a feel for the risks, dangers and responsibilities that come with driving.

By the end of Pathfinder’s 5 day programme we expect you to be driving in a confident, assured and responsible manner, and be well on your way to reaching the standard required to pass a driving test.

The driving school is run by U17 Drivers Pathfinder Ltd, an Educational Trust formed by the custodians of the Under 17 Car Club. The Club has taught more than 3,000 11-16 year olds to drive over the last 30 years, including the late Richard Burns (World Rally Champion 2001).
